Installation method of bearing ring

When installing the bearing ring, pay special attention to the installation sequence. For precision bearings, pay attention to the positive and negative ends. Reverse installation will cause dynamic imbalance and affect the performance of the bearing.
The axial positioning of ultra-precision angular contact ball bearings on the shaft or in the bearing housing usually uses a lock nut or an end cover. These components require high geometric accuracy and good mechanical strength to provide stable support and positioning.
The tightening torque Mt of precision lock nuts or end cap bolts must be large enough to ensure that all components (including bearings) are positioned without deformation and damage.
When using precision lock nuts or end caps to axially position precision angular contact ball bearings, the following procedures should be used to ensure that all bearings are fully in place and reset the locking force to the estimated level.

Tighten the lock nut/end plate bolt to 2 to 3 times Mt tightening torque.

Loosen the lock nut/end cap bolt.

Retighten the lock nut/end cover bolt with a tightening torque of Mt.
